How to Prepare For Colonoscopy.

Getting a colonoscopy is a low risk and typical procedure, especially in those with underlying conditions, and those above 40. Typically a colonoscopy will take less then an hour and you will be under anesthesia during that duration. You will need to have a ride present before you leave, because you will be incapable, and not legally allowed to drive after the procedure for 24 hours. During the colonoscopy the doctor will insert a small camera through your rectum into your colon, with multi-functional tools. The doctor will use the camera to search for abnormalities, such as polyps, lessions, and parasites, They will use tools to remove polyps and send them to the lab to check for cancer. The removal of polyps can in many cases prevent, or postpone cancer.

While the procedure itself is routine, the preparation can be a little annoying.

Before the procedure you should pick up your pre-prep package. You should pick this package up from the pharmacy at least 4 days before your procedure, so you can be comfortable with directions. Three days before the procedure you will need to cut out fiber from your diet, including nuts, seeds, legumes, fresh fruit, and any other high fiber foods.

Why I Love Hemp Seeds.

My love of hemp seep is a new love, but what a love I think is going to be a long lasting one, due to many reasons.

Hemp Seeds are Delicious.

One of the great thing about hemp seeds are they make an awesome snack anytime of the day. They are not only light, crunchy, and packed full of great nutritional, but make a great simple snack. These Amazing little seeds make not just a great simple snack easy to eat on your own without having to cook or anything else, but are also great to use in complex dishes as well. My favorite is hemp seeds poured on fruit covered in completely all natural peanut butter, and honey.

Hemp Seeds Are Nutritional Powerhouses.

Hemp seeds aren’t just a great snack because their delicious, but because they’re great for you too. Hemp seeds are considered a super food, high in protein, high in fiber, easily digestible, and full of healthy fats, it’s really hard to go wrong with hemp seeds. Their balance of oils and proteins make them a perfect snack anytime of the day. Hemp seeds are also high in magnesium, a mineral that helps with relaxation, blood sugar control, blood pressure, and potentially osteoporosis.

Hemp Seeds Are Great For Vegans and Vegetarians

While not a vegan or vegetarian myself I believe that our current diet consists of way too much meat and meat products. As many will tell you too many meat and dairy products can cause cancer, especially colon cancer. It’s known that limiting your intake decreases cancer risks and helps optimize your health. Eating a primarily plant based diet helps maintain healthy weight, helps alleviate high blood pressure, decreases inflammation, and decreases the likelihood of getting age related conditions and diseases. Because Hemp seeds are high in protein and a complete protein, their a great staple food for vegans and vegetarians, or for cyclic dieting.

Hemp Seeds Are Great For The Environment.

Hemp seeds are also great for the environment. This is not due to the seeds themselves, but because they support the development of hemp itself. Hemp has thousands of uses at a fraction of the environmental costs of current uses. Hemp can be sustainable grown fast, and dependably in ideal environments. You’ll commonly see hemp shirts, lotions, paper, and variety of other consumer products. Hemp is more eco-friendly then cutting down trees, growing cotton, and growing many other industrial plants. By supporting the growth of hemp your supporting the growth of a plant that is preserving our environment, helping cut down carbon emissions, and helping rebuild communities around the world .

Hemp Seeds an Amazing Protein!

Hemp Seeds

With cannabis being used medicinally, for recreational use, and within the textile industry around the world, our generation is beginning to realize what our predecessors realized before us; cannabis can be used for just about anything!

Hemp Seeds an Awesome Food!

One amazing attribute to Hemp seeds is that their packed with protein! With the same ratio of protein per gram as many meats. It is literally one of the best known protein packed seeds there is, perfect for athletes, health gurus, vegans, vegetarians, and dieters.

Hemp seed like many other plant based foods are easily digestible and can ease stomach inflammation caused by over consumption of meat and dairy products. If hemp seed became a staple food, and was supplemented with other high protein plant based foods we would be able to decrease our reliance on livestock. This would also decrease occurrences of a variety of cancers and other illnesses related to over consumption of animal byproducts .

Hemp seed is in fact one of the very few vegan foods that contains all the essential amino acids and fatty acids for human life. That’s right hemp seed is a complete protein which makes it extremely advantageous to other non meat proteins.

Positive Effects of Using Hemp Protein!

If you’re a athlete you may seriously want to look into hemp seeds. With 10g of protein for every 30 grams or ~ 2 tablespoons it will help achieve a high protein profile without persistent over consumption of meat products. This helps speed recovery, reduce fatigue, and could help decrease bloating, and gas, that can be caused from high consumption of meat, and dairy.

Hormonal Benefits of Hemp Seeds.

Another benefit of hemp seeds is they do not contain phytoestrogens. This makes it a better protein for many vegans and vegetarians in comparison to soy, legumes, or flax seed due to it’s low estrogenic activity. This can cause a decrease in estrogen based cancers specifically breast cancer, and ovarian cancer. Due to the lignans in hemp it may also help alleviate hormonal problems, and with proper exercise and diet may help establish proper hormonal cycles.

Hemp seeds are truly a nutritional powerhouse, and if you haven’t already placed them into your diet you may want to consider doing so. Hemp seeds have the ability to transform your health and help replace harmful foods that are harvested through environmentally unfriendly means , and that negatively impact your health. Hemp seeds are also often GMO free, and more sustainable than many other crops.

Scientists Replicate Human Alzheimer’s Cells in Dish

Scientists from the United States have now discovered a way to grow Alzheimer’s cells in petri dishes. This monumental discovery will pathe the way for drug testing. Before this they had to test drugs on rats, but will now be able to use cells grown in petri dishes instead, which will be faster, easier, and friendlier.

This discovery was made by a research team at Massachusetts General Hospital in the northeastern city of Boston lead by researcher Rudolph Tanzi. The researchers used stem cells grown to be neurons in a gel like substance then implanted them with Alzheimer genes.

Alzheimers is the most common form of dementia and is a debaliting illness that affects memory, thinking, cognitive functioning, and motor functions. Cells that are impacted by Alzheimers develop hard clumps known as plaques, and coils known as tangles, that disrupt normal functioning in the brain.

Thanks to this discovery we will be able to test increasingly larger amounts of drugs a month, expediting the discovery of new innovative ways to treat Alzheimers.

Without a cure Alzheimer’s is predicted to affect 1 in 85 people globally by 2050. Alzheimers is also one of the most costly diseases to treat in the developed world

Children and Amphetamines

Amphetamines, there are many adult that really don’t understand what this chemical is, and how it can destroy children’s life’s.

Adderall tablets

Many amphetamines such as Adderall, Ritalin, and Vyvanse are chemically similar to cocaine and methamphetamine(prescription drug desoxyn amphetamine is meth), there most often prescribed for A.D.D., and A.D.H.D., but also for narcolepsy, obesity and a variety of other conditions.

The general public has been tricked into believing that these chemicals can be beneficial for children, although basic logic says otherwise.

Those given these medications are more likely to grow up to be shorter and underweight, and are more likely to have cardiac arrest early in life. This condition is due to the chemical suppressing appetite, increasing insomnia, and decreasing the ability of the body to convert food into energy. Cardiac arrest  rises due to the constant stimulant blood level. Due to the increase in insomnia over a prolonged period of time it can also lead delusions and schizophrenic behavior.

All these factors lead to a overall decrease in brain development, and CNS damage. By prescribing children amphetamines such as adderall your addicting them to stimulants, increasing their likelihood to take drugs, and permanently changing there brain chemistry. After withdrawing from these substances many children will feel drained for several days to weeks, feeling as though there living in a fog.

The reason this medicine is so often prescribed is due to it’s ability to calm children down and make them more concentrated. More often then not children are asked to visit councilors in school, and requested to visit psychologists when acting up. When children are acting up it may be due to hyperactivity, or a lack of understanding of personal boundaries, or the feelings or emotions of there peers and elders.  This can be due to many factors, some children may not be getting enough attention, some may be viewing the wrong sorts of media for their age group, some of it may be due to bad parenting or environment. However a lot of times people just forget that children are supposed to be hyperactive in the first place. Hyperactivity can be a sign of healthy development of the brain, the problem is when the brain is developing at a high rate the stimulus’s that they are taking in will impact them monumentally.

While some have had great experiences with these drugs, others are severely negatively impacted. While it limits impulses, it also increases specific forms of concentration especially in linear thought patterns. Having the skill to focus can be very important, but causing an emotionally ill child to concentrate without targeted counseling can be very dangerous. For example if you gave the ability to someone who wants to do right more concentration they are likely to concentrate on doing good things, but likewise if you gave the same ability to someone who wants to do wrong they are more likely to concentrate on doing bad things.

This phenomenon can be one of the many reasons that many high school shootings and other forms of mass violence is associated with these forms of drugs.
