A lot of people complain about violence in society, but even more watch ufc. UFC gets people excited, pumped and ready to go. Watching it is a adrenaline rush all on its own.
This is because our brain is trained to react to violent stimulus’s by releasing adrenaline and testosterone. Many know this as fight or flight but because there’s no reason to run away from a TV people get naturally excited.
Its the same with the pain response. When you see someone get a broken bone your going to be like “O Fuck!”. Its naturally exciting, especially to this who are not trained in combat.
Now what would be interest in to see is if trained fighters are more or less suslple to excitement from broadcasted violence. Cause with many stimulus’s after repeated exposure the brain reacts differently releasing less hormones due to tolerance effects.
